About the Role

Atomic Canyon is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our containerized infrastructure and deployment pipelines for applications serving the nuclear power sector. You will be responsible for bridging modern cloud technologies with enterprise IT requirements, from secure airgapped environments to multi-cloud deployments. Your expertise in Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, and physical infrastructure will ensure our systems remain secure, scalable, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain containerized Kubernetes applications on both cloud providers and on-premises

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and other cloud-agnostic tools

  • Implement GitOps workflows to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency

  • Configure and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP 

  • Set up and maintain monitoring and observability solutions for containerized environments

  • Collaborate with development teams to architect infrastructure solutions for new applications 

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions

  • Provide on-call production support, managing environment health and resolving critical incidents

Key Knowledge and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering 

  • Strong proficiency in containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes 

  • Experience with Helm and other Kubernetes deployment tools 

  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools 

  • Experience with GitHub Actions and GitOps practices 

  • Knowledge of multi-cloud deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP 

  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools for containerized environments 

  • Knowledge of networking concepts across multiple cloud providers 

  • Experience with provisioning bare metal servers with tools like iDRAC

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities 

  • Regular travel to client sites and for in-person company meetings.
